What are the delivery charges?
Whether you want to buy one or several tin boxes from us, we charge a flat delivery rate of 6.90 CHF. Delivery is free if you spend 20 CHF or over.
What is the delivery time for tins?
Our tin boxes are delivered directly from the factory in Thun. After receiving payment, we prepare your tin boxes within 48 hours (on working days) and send them by first-class post to the given address.
Do you sell filled tin boxes?
At present your tin box is sent empty for you to fill with your personal items/memories. But we are planning to offer filled tin boxes: subscribe to the newsletter or follow us on social media to make sure that you don’t miss out on the special and limited edition tin boxes!
Can I pay by invoice?
You can pay for your tin box by all major credit cards, PostFinance card or PostFinance e-finance. We cannot at present offer payment by invoice.
Can I also buy the tin boxes in shops?
The tin box designs offered in the online shop are currently only available through tinboutic.ch.
Can I personalise a tin box?
We do not yet offer single individually printed gift tin boxes and metal cases. That could change rapidly in the near future. In tinboutic you’ll find a wide range of trendy tin boxes in the categories: vintage, music and Swiss. Stay in touch and subscribe to the newsletter so that you don’t miss any new products.
Can I choose the size of the tin?
Tin boxes come in two versions: square and round in various sizes. Sizes are given in the product description.
Are the tin boxes waterproof?
If you want to go diving with a tin box then it won’t be watertight. But it does protect your items reliably from moisture, dirt and splashes.
How do I order more than 100 tin boxes?

Where does the processed material come from?
We obtain the tinplate in the EU.
What is tinplate and how is it manufactured?
Tinplate is a thin cold-rolled sheet steel whose surface has been coated with tin. Tin prevents corrosion and ensures a neutral taste.

What does tinboutic mean?
Tin is the English word for both the box and the material. Boutic is our abbreviation of boutique, meaning a small shop for accessories. In tinboutic we sell beautifully printed tin boxes to carry with you.
